Alyn Stokeworth was Lord of Stokeworth and head of House Stokeworth. Served as Hand of the King during the late reign of Aegon I Targaryen and the early reign of Aenys I Targaryen.

History

Lord Alyn was named Hand of the King by Aegon I Targaryen after the death of the Ser Osmund Strong, the previous Hand, in 34 AC. When Aegon ordered the Aegonfort torn down and a stone castle to be built in its place in 35 AC, he assigned the task to Lord Alyn and Queen Visenya Targaryen.[1]

Upon the coronation of Aegon's heir, King Aenys I Targaryen, rebellions rose throughout the realm. The first of these challenges was by a bandit outlaw known as Harren the Red, who claimed to be a grandson of King Harren the Black. Alyn personally led the campaign against Red Harren and successfully caught and cornered the outlaw king. Harren killed Alyn but was subsequently slain by Alyn's squire, Bernarr Brune.[2][1]
