Barba Bolton was a member of House Bolton during the reign of King Aegon III Targaryen.[2]
History
In 133 AC, the Maiden's Day Ball was held at the Red Keep to find a second wife and new queen for King Aegon III Targaryen. Many maidens across Westeros came to King's Landing in hopes of marrying the young king. However, the event was not a true ball, but merely a procession of maidens, each woman curtsying before the king while a herald announced her name and lineage. Barba was one of these maidens, but she took the opportunity to ask Aegon that if he did not choose her, to at least send food to the north, as the region was suffering greatly from winter.[2]
Quote
If you send me home, Your Grace, send me home with food, for the snows are deep and your people are starving.[2]
—Barba to Aegon III Targaryen
