The barefoot lambs was the name given to the Shepherd's followers during the Dance of the Dragons.[1]

History

During the Moon of the Three Kings, the Shepherd and his followers controlled the Hill of Rhaenys and the Dragonpit. At the height of his power, the Shepherd's "barefoot army" counted in the tens of thousands.[2] However, by the time King's Landing was taken by Lord Borros Baratheon's army in late 130 AC, their numbers had dwindled to three hundred. On the last day of the year, the Shepherd and two hundred forty-one of his lambs were executed.[1]
