Borros Baratheon was the Lord of Storm's End and the head of House Baratheon during the reign of kings Viserys I and Aegon II Targaryen. He had four daughters—Cassandra, Maris, Ellyn, and Floris—and a son, Royce, with his wife, Lady Elenda Caron.[4][5]
In the television adaptation House of the Dragon, Borros is portrayed by Roger Evans.[6]

Appearance and Character
Borros had a beard.[4] He was a seasoned warrior.[3] Borros was more temperamental than his stoic father, Lord Boremund,[4] and was even more belligerent.[1] He was not a man of words, and his maester would read his messages for him.[4]
History
Borros clashed with Dornishmen on numerous occasions.[3]
Borros married Elenda Caron, the daughter of Lord Royce Caron of Nightsong.[5]
At the start of the Dance of the Dragons, it was thought that Borros would support Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen over King Aegon II Targaryen, as his father Boremund had always been a staunch supporter of his niece Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, Borros's cousin. Therefore, the green council sent Prince Aemond Targaryen on Vhagar to Storm's End, to win the hand of one of Borros's four eligible daughters, in order to bring House Baratheon and the stormlands over to the greens. In the meanwhile, the black council sent Rhaenyra's son Prince Lucerys Velaryon on Arrax to win Borros to the blacks' cause, and it was expected that Borros would give him a warm welcome.[1]
However, when Aemond arrived, Storm's End welcomed him with feasts and hunts and jousting, and Borros was more than willing to entertain his suit, telling him to pick any one of his daughters to marry. Borros told Aemond he felt that Rhaenyra had taken House Baratheon for granted for too long. He misremembered his relationship to Rhaenys (saying "some great-aunt I never knew was married to her father", instead of his aunt), and noted that Rhanenyra was not Rhaenys. He claimed he had nothing against women, but that he supported a male heir over a daughter. He felt that when Rhaenyra learned she had lost Storm's End, she would make peace with Aegon II, as the way his daughters did when they fought. It is uncertain which of Borros's daughters Aemond chose, but Borros and the prince were haggling over dates and dowries the morning when Lucerys Velaryon arrived.[4]
Eyewitness accounts varied, some saying Borros was ashamed for Lucerys to find him treating with Aemond, while others say he relished the prospect of both factions competing for his aid. Though neither was present, Mushroom wrote that Borros was drunk, and Eustace wrote that he was fearful. When Aemond confronted Lucerys in the Round Hall of Storm's End, trying to snatch Rhaenyra's message from his hand, Borros commanded his knights to separate the princes and bring him the letter. After his maester read the message to him, Borros asked Lucerys if he joined the black cause, which of his daughters would Lucerys marry, and commanded him to pick one. Lucerys replied he could not, as he was betrothed to his cousin, and Borros told him to go home and tell his mother not to take him for granted.[4]
As Lucerys left, Aemond continued to confront him, demanding recompense for his lost eye, but Lucerys refused to fight, saying he came as an envoy. Borros prohibited the princes fighting beneath his roof at Storm's End, saying he wanted no bloodshed, and had his knights escort them out to the yard. Reportedly provoked by the words of Borros's daughter Maris Baratheon, Aemond again attempted to attack Lucerys, asking for Borros's permission, and Borros replied he could not tell him what to do outside his roof. Aemond flew Vhagar to combat Lucerys on Arrax, leading to the death of Lucerys and his dragon.[4]
As the war began in earnest, Storm's End officially declared for the greens.[7] Borros gathered an army of six thousand men to Storm's End,[8] but he marched into the Red Mountains to confront a Vulture King instead of fighting Rhaenyra Targaryen and her blacks.[3]
When King's Landing fell to Rhaenyra, Princess Jaehaera, daughter of King Aegon II Targaryen, was sent to Storm's End under the charge of Ser Willis Fell of the Kingsguard.[9]
After Rhaenyra's death at Dragonstone, Lord Baratheon left his pregnant wife, Elenda Baratheon, at Storm's End and marched with six hundred knights and four hundred foot to King's Landing. Borros seized the capital and ended the Moon of the Three Kings. Borros agreed that his eldest daughter, Cassandra, would wed the widowed King Aegon II, and a younger daughter, Floris, would marry Lord Larys Strong. The Shepherd is said to have cursed Borros before being captured. Aegon II sent Borros to subdue the crownlands, and the stormlanders achieved the submissions of Rosby, Stokeworth, and Duskendale. The king's demand for heavy ransoms angered the former blacks, however.[3]
Borros marched up the kingsroad to confront the host of rivermen led by the Lads. Discounting the black host because they were led by youths and women, Borros led the charge in the Battle of the Kingsroad. Borros attempted to retreat when the battle turned against the stormlanders, but the crownlands men betrayed him turned the battle into a rout. A heavily-wounded Borros is said to have killed twelve knights, along with Lords Roland Darry and Jorah Mallister, before falling against Lord Kermit Tully. Borros's wife Elenda gave birth to a son seven days later, and did not name him Aegon like Borros wished. Instead she named him Royce after her father, Lord Royce Caron.[3]
