A Dance with Dragons
Brogg is among the wildling leaders who accompany Tormund to the Wall in declaring a truce with the Night's Watch. Like the other leaders, Brogg gives a son as hostage to the Watch to assure his and his people's good behavior.[1] Lord Commander Jon Snow later considers giving Brogg the command of one of the abandoned castles along the Wall but Bowen Marsh rejects the idea. Brogg is present in the Shieldhall when Jon Snow announces the letter purportedly from Ramsay Bolton entitled 'Bastard'.[2]
