Lady Ceryse Hightower was a member of House Hightower and was the daughter of Lord Martyn Hightower of Oldtown during the reign of Aenys Targaryen. She was the niece of the High Septon at the time. She eventually married Maegor Targaryen becoming his first (of many) wives.
History
Ceryse uncle, the High Septon became livid when Visenya Targaryen suggested that her son Maegor wed Rhaena. King Aenys to please the faith refused the betrothal and wed Maegor instead to Lady Ceryse in 25 AC. Their marriage failed to produce any children and Maegor eventually took further brides (though all of them likewise didn't produce him an heir).
She died suddenly in 45 AC of a sudden illness. though it was rumored she was killed at the King's command. [1]
