The Children's Tower is one of the three towers that remain at Moat Cailin, the others being the Gatehouse Tower and the Drunkard's Tower.

About

The Children's Tower is tall, slender and green with moss. It has only half of the crenelations of its crown, it looks as if some great beast has taken a bite out of the crenellations along the tower top, and spit the rubble across the bog. [1] Its shattered top is open to the wind and the rain. Legend has it that the children of the forest called upon their gods from the top of the tower to send the hammer of the waters and shatter the Neck.[2] [3]

Recent events

A Game of Thrones

House Umber took this tower as its seat during the Northern host's stay at Moat Cailin.

A Dance with Dragons

Theon Greyjoy travels to Moat Cailin under a peace banner to present Ramsay Bolton's terms of rendition to the Ironborn garrison guarding its three towers. When Theon looks up he can see pale faces peering through the broken masonry that crowns the Children's Tower. Once inside the gatehouse a guard tells Theon that Dagon Codd went over to the Children's Tower a few days ago. Codd found only two men alive who were eating the dead ones. Codd killed them both. [4] The pale faces that Theon saw peering through the broken masonry may therefore have been the faces of the bog devils.
