The Cinnamon Straits separate Great Moraq from several islands to the south and west. Along with the Jade Gates north of Great Moraq, the Cinnamon Straits divide the Summer Sea and the Jade Sea. Vahar and Lesser Moraq are to the northwest of the Straits, while the Isle of Elephants is to the southeast.[1] It is named after the cinnamon harvested from its isles.[2]

Behind the Scenes

The Cinnamon Straits have not yet been mentioned in the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, only appearing in The Lands of Ice and Fire and A World of Ice and Fire.
