Ser Cleos Frey is the eldest son of Ser Emmon Frey and Genna Lannister. He is somewhat cowardly and not very bright.[1] He is married to Jeyne Darry and has two young sons, Tywin and Willem. His personal coat-of-arms is the twin towers of House Frey and the golden lion of House Lannister, quartered.[2]

Recent Events

A Game of Thrones

Due to his Lannister blood, Cleos fought with the Lannisters and was captured along with Jaime Lannister at the Battle of the Whispering Wood.[3]

A Clash of Kings

King Robb Stark sent him to King's Landing with his peace offer.[4] He returned with a counter-offer by Tyrion Lannister. Because some of the men with whom he returned with tried to free Ser Jaime Lannister while they were under the peace banner, Cleos was imprisoned again.[5]

A Storm of Swords

Catelyn Stark released him to accompany Ser Jaime Lannister, together with Brienne of Tarth.[6] He was killed during an ambush when his horse spooked and dragged him across the ground. He was not particularly mourned, either by Ser Jaime[7] or his parents. He was killed on the road between Maidenpool and Duskendale.[8]

Appearance

Cleos had stringy brown hair. He had a thin face with a weak chin like his father.[9]
