Ser Corlys Velaryon was a knight of House Velaryon. He became one of the first knights of the Kingsguard when the order was founded in 10 AC and was the first ever Lord Commander of the Kingsguard. He died during the reign of Aegon I Targaryen, and was succeeded as Lord Commander by Ser Addison Hill.[1]
