History

The Dance of the Dragons

Upon the death of King Viserys I Targaryen, Prince Jacaerys Velaryon flew to Winterfell on his dragon Vermax to gain the support of the Starks and the North for his mother Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen's claim to the throne. Cregan pledged his support to the blacks.[2] After the Dance of the Dragons ended, Cregan briefly served as Hand of the King for King Aegon III Targaryen, a time known as the Hour of the Wolf, and he married Black Aly Blackwood in exchange for honoring Aegon II's pardon of Lord Corlys Velaryon.[3]
