Lady Danelle Lothston, better known as Mad Danelle, was the head of House Lothston during the reign of King Aerys I Targaryen. She had long red hair and wore tight-fitting black armor.[1] A story told to misbehaving children said that on moonless nights bats would fly from Harrenhal and take the bad children back to Mad Danelle.[2] Similarly, upon visiting Lady Lothston's former home, Harrenhall, Jaime Lannister recalls hearing stories about her bathing in blood and presiding over feasts of human flesh.[3]

When Hand of the King, Lord Bloodraven marches on Whitewalls to quash the Second Blackfyre Rebellion, Lady Danelle is among the Riverlords who come in support, marching in great strength.[1]

The World of Ice and Fire

Lady Danelle turned to the black arts during the reign of Maekar I. She was the last of the Lothston line.[4]
