Defender of the Marches is a title claimed by House Tyrell of Highgarden,[1] who are also the Lords Paramount of the Reach.[2]

The Kingdom of the Reach once included western marches from Horn Hill to Nightsong.[3] While most of the Dornish Marches are now in the stormlands, there are some marcher lords within the current Reach, such as House Tarly of Horn Hill. Starpike, the seat of House Peake in the Reach, may also be part of the marches.[4]
