Dick Follard, better known as Deaf Dick Follard, is a ranger of the Night's Watch. He is deaf.[1] He can read lips.[2]

Dick fights in the Battle of Castle Black against the raiders commanded by Styr. He was stationed on the roof of the King's Tower with Jon Snow, Satin and six scarecrows dressed as brothers. At dark when the wildlings attacked, Deaf Dick felled by Ygritte's arrow as he pointed out wildlings on top of the armory to Jon Snow.[4]
