Lord Edwyle Stark was a head of House Stark, Lord of Winterfell, and Warden of the North. He was the father of Rickard Stark. In the crypt of Winterfell there is a statue of him.[1]
History
Raymun Redbeard led his invasion of the North during the time of Jon Snow's grandfather's grandfather. Willam Stark and Artos Stark were alive in that period, but it is unknown which was the father of Edwyle. As Willam and Artos were alive in 184 AC, according to semi-canon sources, it is possible that Lord Beron Stark, who was alive around 209 AC, could be Edwyle's father.
Edwyle had a sister who married a scion of the cadet branch of House Royce.[2] According to Old Nan, he also might have a baby brother Bran, who died just three years old on summer fever,[3] though Old Nan tells her story in multiple ways, thus isn't always certain.
Family
Edwyle was the father of Rickard Stark, and had four grandchildren: Brandon Stark, Eddard Stark, Lyanna Stark and Benjen Stark.
