Grand Maester Gerardys was the Grand Maester at the end of the reign of Viserys I and during the reign of Aegon II. Before being made Grand Maester, he served Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen on Dragonstone. He was a gifted healer who saved the life of Viserys I after he was cut by the Iron Throne. He also flew with Prince Daemon Targaryen to help his wife Lady Laena Velaryon after a difficult childbirth, but they arrived too late.[1] Aegon fed him to his dragon Sunfyre for reasons unknown.[2] He was replaced by Orwyle.
