Gunthor Darklyn was the Lord of Duskendale and the head of House Darklyn during the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons. His uncle was Ser Steffon Darklyn of the Kingsguard.[2]
History
Gunthor sat on the black council.[3] He was beheaded by Ser Criston Cole during the sack of Duskendale. Most of Gunthor's men chose to join Aegon II Targaryen, although a few followed Lord Darklyn in death.[1]
After the Storming of the Dragonpit, Gunthor's widow, Lady Meredyth Darklyn, reluctantly hosted Rhaenyra Targaryen at Duskendale for a brief time.[2]
