He was also the last maester to serve at Summerhall before it burned down.[1] He wrote The Princess and The Queen, or, The Blacks and The Greens, a history of the civil war known as The Dance of the Dragons. Gyldayn also wrote The Rogue Prince, or, the King’s Brother, about Prince Daemon Targaryen.[2]
