A Dance with Dragons
During the reopening of the fighting pits after the fight between the pit fighter Barsena Blackhair and a boar in Daznak's Pit, Drogon appears and begins eating the corpses of the gladiator and the boar that killed her. Harghaz[1] attacks Drogon for reasons unknown; Daenerys Targaryen conjectures that Harghaz loves Barsena, wants vengeance for Hazzea, or simply wants glory. Harghaz wounds Drogon and almost succeeds in killing him, but is set aflame by the black dragon when he leaves the arena with Daenerys.[2]
To the Yunkai and Meereenese who oppose the rule of Daenerys, Harghaz becomes a hero and is called "Harghaz the Hero" by them[3][1] or "Harghaz the Dragonslayer", even though he did not slay Drogon but was instead killed by the dragon.
Quotes about Harghaz
Hizdahr, Humzum, Hagnag, what does it matter? I call them all Harzoo. He was no dragonslayer. All he did was get his arse roasted black and crispy.
He was brave.
He died screaming.
Ser Archibald Yronwood and Quentyn Martell on Harghaz.
