History of the Kings-Beyond-the-Wall is a book written by Maester Herryk about monarchs of the free folk, the Kings-Beyond-the-Wall. It contains the transcription of a song that recounts when Gendel and Gorne were called to mediate a dispute by a clan of children of the forest and a family of giants over possession of a cavern. They settled by resorting to trickery to make both sides disavow the cavern after the brothers discovered it as part of a chain of caverns that passed beneath the Wall.[1]
