House Harroway of Harrenhal is an extinct noble house from Harrenhal in the Riverlands. According to semi-canon sources they blazoned their arms with per bend sinister orange and black rayonne, a castle countercharged.[1] Lord Harroway's Town is named after a former lord of the house.[2]
Contents
History
House Harroway was the fourth noble house to rule Harrenhal, receiving the title and lands after the extinction of House Towers.[1] One of the wives of King Maegor the Cruel was Alys Harroway.[3] Harrenhal passed to House Strong after the extinction of the Harroways.[1]
Recent Events
A Storm of Swords
Sandor Clegane and Arya Stark visit Lord Harroway's Town and find it has been washed out by the overflowing Trident.[2]
A Feast for Crows
Petyr Baelish uses the extinction of House Harroway as an example of the fate of those who claim to own Harrenhal.[4]
