House Lorch is a house of landed knights from the Westerlands. They blazon their shields with a black manticore on white, beneath a crimson chief with three gold coins.[2][3] Their motto has not been revealed yet.
Contents
History
During the Faith Militant uprising, Ser Lyonel Lorch fought in the battle at the Great Fork alongside Lord Rupert Falwell and other knights from the westerlands and riverlands, as well as hundreds of Poor Fellows, against the royal army led by King Maegor I Targaryen himself.[4][5]
According to a semi-canon source, Ser Amory Lorch threw the last Lord Tarbeck, a three-year-old boy, down a well during the Reyne-Tarbeck rebellion.[6]
During the Sack of King's Landing, Ser Amory stabbed Princess Rhaenys Targaryen to death.[7]
Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
Ser Amory Lorch orders the attack on the holdfast that Yoren and his recruits stay in.[2]
When Tywin Lannister leaves Harrenhal to return to the Westerlands, he leaves Amory as the castellan. When Harrenhal is seized by men from the North and the Brave Companions switch sides, Amory is thrown in the bear pit and dies.[8][9]
