History
The Plumms are a house of First Men origin from the Age of Heroes.[1]
The aged Lord Ossifer Plumm married Princess Elaena Targaryen in 176 AC, during the reign of King Aegon IV Targaryen.[4][5] He is said to have died during the bedding, after conceiving a son.[4] However, rumors suggest that Lord Ossifer had died before being able to consummate the marriage, and that the child instead had been fathered by King Aegon himself,[4][6] leading to the saying that Ossifer had had a "cock six foot long".[5]
Regardless of the true paternity of the child, Elaena's son, Viserys Plumm, inherited Ossifer's lands and titles. Viserys ruled throughout the reign of King Daeron II Targaryen, and still ruled during the early years of the reign of King Aerys I Targaryen, at least.[7]
Ser Petyr Plumm participated in the tourney at Ashford Meadow in 209 AC.[8]
Ser Maynard Plumm was among the hedge knights gathered by a lake on their way to Lord Ambrose Butterwell's wedding festivities in 212 AC.[7] Maynard assisted Ser Duncan the Tall during the Whitewalls tourney,[7] but he went mysteriously missing when the Second Blackfyre Rebellion was quashed.
According to a semi-canon source,[9] the Plumms supported Tywin Lannister when he suppressed the Reyne-Tarbeck rebellion.
Recent Events
A Storm of Swords
Brown Ben Plumm is chosen commander of the Second Sons after the death of the Titan's Bastard. He has a mixed heritage, with, among others, a half-Ibbenese and half-Qohorik grandmother and a distant Targaryen ancestor. He claims his ancestor Ossifer Plumm was a lord with a six-foot-long penis.[5]
Among others, the brothers Plumm are sent to the riverlands by Lord Tywin Lannister to find Jaime Lannister after Tywin receives notice of his son's release.[10]
A Feast for Crows
Ser Harwyn Plumm, known as Hardstone, clears broken men from Darry.[6]
Ossifer is mentioned by Queen Cersei Lannister to illustrate for Jaime that any child of Margaery Tyrell could be recognized as King Tommen I Baratheon's, even if it was physically impossible for him to impregnate the woman.[6]
Lord Philip Plumm is among the gathered nobility that escort the corpse of Tywin back to Casterly Rock.[11]
Harwyn Hardstone is named the commander of the garrison at Darry Castle. He is away hunting outlaws when Jaime visits the castle. He is possibly involved romantically with Lord Lancel Lannister's wife, "Gatehouse Ami" Frey.

Notes
- ↑ The text in the Westerlands section of TWOIAF implies that the mentioned First Men houses are all founded in the Dawn Age but does not use the term Dawn Age, instead it says Golden Age which could be meant to cover the Dawn Age and Age heroes together. This combined with it being very unlikely that no First Men houses of note where founded in the Age of Heroes means we can not tell if the mentioned houses are founded in the Dawn Age or Age of Heroes.
