House Seaworth of Cape Wrath is a noble house from the Stormlands. The blazon of the house is a black ship on a pale grey background, with an onion on its sails.[1]

History

House Seaworth was created after Davos, a common smuggler, broke the Redwyne cordon and smuggled foodstuffs to the starving garrison of Storm's End during Robert's Rebellion. For his bravery, he was awarded choice lands on Cape Wrath, a small keep and a knighthood. For his years of smuggling, he lost joints on his left hand.[2]

After Lord Alester Florent betrayed King Stannis I, Stannis made Ser Davos Hand of the King and named him Lord of the Rainwood and Admiral of the Narrow Sea.[3] It is unkown if the title 'Lord of the Rainwood' can be inherited.
