Jon Mertyns was the Lord of Mistwood during the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen.[1]

Lord Jon attended the Golden Wedding, where the king entertained the lords in the intimacy of his solar, encouraging them to speak freely and share their views on the problems of the realm and how they might best be overcome.
