King of the Trident is a title created by the lords of the Riverlands for Robb Stark, who is also King in the North. It refers to the great river of the kingdom, the Trident.

Prior to Aegon the Conquerer's Wars of Conquest, the Riverlands were ruled by the ironborn. The last King of the Iron Islands and the Riverlands was Harren the Black.
