Lord of Dunstonbury[1][2][3][4][5] is a title originally held by the head of House Manderly and later by those of House Peake.[6]

History

Dunstonbury was the seat of House Manderly from the Age of Heroes up until the reign of King Perceon III Gardener. King Perceon feared the Manderlys' swelling power and ordered Lord Lorimar Peake of Starpike to drive them into exile from the Reach. Lorimar succeeded in his task and was rewarded the Manderly castle and lands, becoming the first Peake to held the title of "Lord of Dunstonbury".[7] Perceon also agreed to a marriage between his son, Prince Gwayne, and Lorimar's daughter.[3]

The Peakes kept dominion over Dunstonbury until the end of the second century, when the Iron Throne stripped Lord Gormon Peake of his title of "Lord of Dunstonbury" for having supported the pretender, Daemon Blackfyre, in the First Blackfyre Rebellion.[8] It is unknown to which house the Iron Throne granted Dunstonbury.
