Loreon Lannister, known as Loreon the Lion, was the first true King of the Rock of House Lannister of Casterly Rock in historical record.[1]
History
Loreon made House Reyne of Castamere his vassals by wedding a daughter of that house.[1]
King Loreon fought and defeated Morgon Banefort, the Hooded King, and his thralls, in a war that lasted twenty years.[1] According to a semi-canon source, Morgon was said to have been a powerful necromancer who cursed his vanquishers as he died, claiming he would return from the grave. In response, Loreon had Morgon's body cut into pieces and fed to his lions. Two years later the lions broke free within Casterly Rock, slaying three of Loreon's sons.[2]
