At the Tourney at Lannisport celebrating the victory of Robert I over Balon Greyjoy, Ser Lyle was unhorsed by the eventual champion, Lord Jorah Mormont.[2]
Recent Events
A Clash of Kings
Ser Lyle was part of Lord Tywin Lannister's army in the Riverlands. Ser Lyle was captured at the Battle of the Fords.[3]
A Storm of Swords
Ser Lyle was held captive at Pinkmaiden Castle.[4]
A Feast for Crows
Ser Lyle attended the wedding of Tommen I and Margaery Tyrell.[5] He remained in King's Landing after the wedding, where Ser Jaime Lannister spots him training at quintain in the yard of the Red Keep.[6] Ser Lyle was a part of the force led by Ser Jaime Lannister to aid in the capture of Riverrun. During the force's stop at Hayford, Ser Lyle was among those invited to the supper within the castle.[7] At Darry he was once again invited to the supper within the castle, this time offering his opinion about the smallfolk who lie to their lords. He pledged to return to Darry once the siege at Riverrun was over and kill Sandor Clegane.[8] He was part of the war councils during the siege of Riverrun.[9] After Rivverun fell, Ser Lyle informed Ser Jaime that he intended to return to Darry and begin a search for Sandor Clegane.[10]
