Marq Merryweather was the Lord of Longtable and the head of House Merryweather during the reign of King Aegon III Targaryen.[2][1]

Character

Marq loved to feast. He considered his two fellow regents, Lorent Grandison and Willam Stackspear, to be fools.[1]

History

During the Great Council of 136 AC, Lord Marq was among three regents selected by lot to serve in the regency for King Aegon III Targaryen.[2] Marq was considered an inoffensive, though undistinguished, choice.[1]

While the regents and Lord Torrhen Manderly, the Hand of the King, were discussing Aegon's first royal progress, the young king entered the room and dismissed them all, for he had come of age and no longer wanted their oversight.[1]

Family

It is unknown how Marq is related to his contemporary relatives Lord Merryweather, Lady Merryweather, and Jeyne Merryweather.
