Mawney is a part of the great ranging beyond the Wall. An Other riding Mawney's dead horse comes upon Grenn, Samwell Tarly, and Small Paul.[1]

A Feast for Crows

Mawney remains at Craster's Keep after the betrayal of its owner, along with a few other former members of the Night's Watch.[2]

A Dance With Dragon

Five betrayers wander in the haunted forest, planning to head south over the Wall. However, the traitors are killed by Coldhands and his ravens. Summer, Bran Stark's direwolf, finds the bodies and eats parts of the meat.[3] It is unknown if Mawney is among them.
