The Old Mother's Son is a galley in the fleet of Salladhor Saan. Her name seems to be inspired by the Old Mother, a pirate queen of the Band of Nine.
Recent Events
A Feast for Crows
Salladhor Saan's pirate fleet, including his Old Mother's Son and Valyrian, tries to board a galley from Volantis near the Stepstones. They kill the captain, but the ship gets away. In Braavos, a mate from the galley tells Cat of the Canals about the incident.[1]
A Dance with Dragons
While sailing from Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, the Old Mother's Son is driven onto the rocks of Skagos.[2]
