Grand Maester Ollidar was a maester of the Citadel. He later became Archmaester of Histories, whose Ring, Rod and Mask were bronze. He served as the first ever Grand Maester during the reign of King Aegon I.
History
In 5 AC, King Aegon I Targaryen decided he could greatly benefit from the wisdom of an Archmaester of the Citadel in advising and consulting him on the laws and customs of the realm. Thus the office of Grandmaester was created. Ollidar was selected by the conclave for this office. While exceptionally learnt, Ollidar was old and passed away less than a year of taking the mantle of Grand Maester.[1]
