A Storm of Swords
Orphan Oss was a member of the force that left Castle Black and the Shadow Tower in search of Benjen Stark and Mance Rayder. He survived the Battle of the Fist of the First Men and was among those who made it back to Craster's Keep. There, he broke the guest right and took part in mutiny against the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, Jeor Mormont.
A Feast for Crows
Oss remained at Craster's Keep after the betrayal, along with a few other former members of the Night's Watch.[1]
A Dance With Dragon
Orphan Oss along with the other former members of the Night's Watch responsible for the Mutiny at Craster's Keep wandered in the Haunted Forest, planning to head south over the wall, however they encountered Coldhands who killed and buried their bodies, which were found by Summer, Bran's direwolf.
