Pono is a ko in Khal Drogo's khalasar.

Recent Events
A Game of Thrones
When Drogo falls ill, Pono is the first to declare himself khal and takes part of Drogo's khalasar with him.[1]
A Clash of Kings
When Daenerys Targaryen sets out with her khalasar, she is advised against going downriver by Rakharo. He says that is the direction that Pono went with ten thousand of Drogo's khalasar. Pono intends to sell thousands of captives at Slaver's Bay.[2]
A Dance with Dragons
The khalasar of Khal Pono is reported to be near the headwaters of the Selhoru. His khalasar is said to be thirty thousand strong and other khals such as Zekko and Motho fear Pono's khalasar.[3] Qavo Nogarys is not alarmed that Pono is outside Selhorys, stating:
The horselords come, we give them gifts, the horselords go.[4]
