Royce Blackwood was a member of House Blackwood during the reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen.[1]

Character

A tall man, Royce was graceful and courteous. In addition to being skilled with bow and sword, Royce was also a fine singer who wrote his own ballads.[1]

History

Royce's father, Lord Blackwood, attempted to betroth his son to Princess Daella Targaryen when the girl was brought to Raventree Hall by Queen Alysanne Targaryen. Although Daella was charmed by Royce's singing, the princess lost interest when she learned that House Blackwood followed the old gods instead of the Faith of the Seven.[1]
