Stonedoor is a castle along the Wall, abandoned by the Night's Watch. To the west lies Greyguard and to the east Hoarfrost Hill.[1] The landscape near Stonedoor is hilly.[2]

Jeor Mormont, Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, plans to re-garrison Greyguard, but Qhorin Halfhand advises Stonedoor instead, due to Greyguard's poor condition.[3]

Jon Snow is with a group of wildlings who attempt to climb the Wall between Stonedoor and Greyguard.[4][5]
A Dance for Dragons
Now Lord Commander, Jon gives Stonedoor to Soren Shieldbreaker to garrison and settle his own people. Borroq is scheduled to join them.[2]
