A Clash of Kings

Magister Illyrio sent the Saduleon, Joso's Prank and the Summer Sun to Qarth to bring Daenerys Targaryen back to Pentos in preparation for her return to Westeros. Daenerys accepted, but insisted in renaming the ships as Vhagar, Meraxes and Balerion, in homage of the three powerful dragons of Aegon the Conqueror.[2] Vhagar is the previous Summer Sun.

A Storm of Swords

Daenerys has the Summer Sun renamed after one of Aegon I's dragons. She orders her small fleet to head for Slaver's Bay. On the shores of Slaver's Bay, Daenerys orders her fleet broken up to provide the wood needed by her army for instruments of war.[3]
