"Surly lad" is the nickname given by Archmaester Gyldayn to a stableboy in service to House Wylde during the early reign of King Jaehaerys I Targaryen.[1] His given name is unknown.
Appearance
According to A Caution for Young Girls, he was a handsome boy of a similar age to Coryanne Wylde. However, the maester at the Rain House describes him as a pox-scarred man of thirty with a large penis.[1]
History
He deflowered and impregnated Coryanne Wylde, the younger daughter of Lord Morgan Wylde. He was gelded shortly after, and sent to the Wall.[1]
