Very interesting to see these mentions of currency listed together because they actually seem inconsistent on the part of GRRM. If the Kingdom was 6 million in debt (a colossal sum) this doesn't equate with the Hand's Tourney having a prize purse of 90,000 all up. That's basically paying 1.5% of the national debt as a prize. Like someone in America being given about $50 billion to win a sports competition. Very interesting to see these mentions of currency listed together because they actually seem inconsistent on the part of GRRM.
