Since Syrio's death is not explicitly stated in the text, it remains possible that he could have been captured by Trant and arrested. Then, as a Faceless Man, he could have changed his appearance in the Black Cells (hence why Rorge and Biter are scared of him) before being selected by Yoren to join the caravan to the Wall.

Misinformation

"Arya fled before seeing Syrio slain. Even years after his assumed death, Arya remembers Syrio's words and lets them guide her actions through difficult situations. "

I don't think it would be apt to add this information when we don't know if he is dead or not.

Although it is very likely that he died after the combat with Trant, we cannot confirm it. Since Arya left the boat before he was ever slain, there is a chance, however small, that he made out of the boat alive.

Considering his prowess to beat 5 knights with a wooden sword, he is not a person easily killed, and also taking in consideration the fact that he trains his running, he can easily outrun a heavily armored knight.

I think that that bit of information should be removed or rephrased.

By the way, I'm writing this because as of yet I'm still halfway through A Feast for Crows and I'm not sure if he shows up again in these last 350 pages, but I doubt. Leco1937 03:27, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Could Syrio = Jaqen?

Since Syrio's death is not explicitly stated in the text, it remains possible that he could have been captured by Trant and arrested. Then, as a Faceless Man, he could have changed his appearance in the Black Cells (hence why Rorge and Biter are scared of him) before being selected by Yoren to join the caravan to the Wall.
