Tumco Lho, nicknamed Tum,[1] is a former slave in Meereen training to become a knight.[2]

Appearance

Tumco is young and dark skinned.[2] He has dark eyes and can speak the Common Tongue as well as the tongue of his native Basilisk Isles.[3]

History

Tumco is originally from the Basilisk Isles. He was training in the fighting pits of Meereen when Daenerys Targaryen took the city and freed the slaves from their chains.[2]

Recent Events

A Dance with Dragons

Tumco spends most of A Dance with Dragons in training in the Great Pyramid to become a knight, as a squire to Ser Barristan Selmy. Strong and fast, the youth already has a good acquaintance with sword and battle-axe. Barristan thinks Tumco shows much promise as he is the best natural swordsman he has seen since Jaime Lannister. Along with Larraq he is Barristan's best squire.[2]

When Barristan goes down to the dungeons to tell Gerris Drinkwater and Archibald Yronwood of Quentyn Martell's demise, he takes with him two newly-made knights, Ser Tumco and the Red Lamb.[1]

The Winds of Winter

On the brink of battle against the Yunkish besiegers, Tumco carries the banner of House Targaryen. Barristan realizes that Tumco is more afraid of the Pale Mare - spreading through the siege camps and launched into the city via trebuchet - than he is of their foes.[3]
