Wine and foods

I believe that the official site of those arthurs of the A Feast of Ice and Fire, might be useful for you ;) Though careful, they have some in-house non canon inventions --Mor 19:52, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Thank you! I had no idea this book was coming out. I'll take a look at the website. No honey-spiced locusts for me though, yuck :)

Slavery

Why could you think of that yesterday :) its a great idea for an article that I hope to contribute to later on and deserves a place on the culture portal, but with the stupid layout there, I wouldnt be able to fit it in until the next update... --Mor 04:00, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

Glad you like it. Would appreciate any contributions on this subject, it’s quite an involved one!

Regarding Daenerys: What about arranged marriage? while in dany case it is more blunt and one sided than Cersei marriage to Robert, Sansa to Tyrion or ned to his dead brother bride, in all cases those marriages were arranged for certain gain/benefit of their houses. Also I am not sure that Dany serves as a good example of typical slave in Essos, where people are bread and trained into slavery and has no rights at all, even over their own life --Mor 20:02, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

I take your point; I had the same thoughts also have wondered about arranged marriages like Sansa’s etc. However the thing is is that the word “arranged” is not used for Dany, it’s “sold”. I am unsure of what GRRM intended, perhaps he leaves the reader to decide. I (personally) thought she was enslaved. I was thinking of a paragraph on Dany’s emancipation of the salves so I could mention the fact that she was sold and its influence on her there instead. I will take it out of where I have it since it may be controversial,
