I think it's better if the family trees aren't so complicated, and so they'd fit on one page, thats why I created 2 trees for the Stark family, the recent one starting at Beron Stark, then an older one for the rest which is currently http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Template:Cregan_Stark Lord Knightmare 15:56, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Alright, but I thought about a big one for the House Stark page - or two, including a big historical one and one for the Starks starting with Rickard - and two or more smaller ones for the page of the individual Stark characters. I mean it's not that complicated and there is a big one for the Targaryens as well. I wouldn't put a family tree including members from 100 years ago under the category "Starks at the end of the third century", so if you don't like my big one, let's create three trees for the main page (1. Benjen (lord) to Beron 2. Beron to Rickard 3. Rickard to Robb). Are you still working on the Cregan Stark family tree? --The Wondering Wolf 16:11, 28 November 2014 (UTC)

Re: Copyright for images from "The World of Ice and Fire"

Hello,

I am not responsible for uploading all of the "The World of Ice and Fire" art. I did not get permission personally. I saw that other users had uploaded quite a bit of art from the book already and nothing was said about it, so I uploaded some thinking it was ok as the art is really nice and I was glad not to have to do the work of getting permission.

Apart from that particular art I have always checked to get permission. I tend to stick to uploading Fantasy Flight Games artwork as they have given their consent and they own the right to lots of good artwork - or I get in touch with an artist via DeviantArt and occasionally via email.

The user “Ryangibsonstewart” uploaded some of "The World of Ice and Fire" art before me; they might be able to help you with your query. I guess if there is no permission it should all be removed?

Kind Regards --Melanie (talk) 20:23, 8 July 2016 (UTC)

Ok thank you. Haven't been on the board or wiki for a while, wasn't aware of that. Will not use that phrase. --Melanie (talk) 17:58, 25 June 2018 (UTC)

Corbray tree Dance

Hi The Wondering Wolf,

I saw you changed the template I created for the family tree of House Corbray during the Dance, specifically that Lord Quenton Corbray isn't mentioned in the books as Lord Leowyn's son. While I agree, I think we can deduce that this is the case. Here is my reasoning:

  • An unknown Lord Corbray is mentioned to have two sons : Leowyn (first son) and Corwyn (second son).
  • Lord Quenton is mentioned as Corwyn's nephew.
  • When Leowyn died in 133 AC, the Lordship would go to first any of Leowyn's trueborn children then to his brother Corwyn. As it happens, Corwyn outlived his brother for a year and during that time he is always refered as "Ser" not Lord indicating he didn't inherit the Lordship from his brother. This means that the Lordship went to a child of Leowyn and nephew of Corwyn, which would be Quenton.

Is that a good enough justification?

If not, then I know the Mush isn't canon and shouldn't be use to prove anything. But in there Quenton is mentioned as Leowyn's son (https://www.westeros.org/BoD/Houses/Entry/House_Corbray/). Plus some characters from the MUSH actually came from GRRM himself, among those are the three Corbrays (Leowyn, Quenton & Corwyn).
