Vaes Qosar is a ruined Qaathi city located in Essos, east of Qarkash and northwest of Qarth, in the southeastern portion of the red waste.[1] It was originally called Qolahn, but it is now known by its Dothraki language name, Vaes Qosar, meaning City of Spiders, after its destruction by the Dothraki during the Century of Blood.[2][3]

Daenerys Targaryen and her khalasar pass the ruins of Vaes Qosar while traveling from Vaes Tolorro to Qarth.[4]
