Walter Brownhill was a minor landed knight and the head of House Brownhill during the reign of King Aegon III Targaryen.[1]

History

Ser Walter ruled a few hides of land on Cape Wrath from a castle described as being made of "mud and tree roots". By 136 AC, Walter had been married and widowed thrice. Thirteen of his sixteen children still lived.[1]

After Lady Cassandra Baratheon was found guilty of attempting to poison King Aegon III Targaryen and Queen Daenaera Velaryon, Lord Lorent Grandison and three other stormlords arranged for her to marry Walter instead of facing a harsher punishment, due to her high birth. Lady Elenda Baratheon thought caring for Walter's children would end Cassandra's scheming and plotting, and it did.[1]
