Wendel Frey is the nineteenth son of Lord Walder Frey, the first son born of his marriage to Annara Farring. He is a page at Seagard.[2] Rumor at the Twins is that Annara slept with Black Walder Frey, making Wendel's parentage dubious.[3]

Wendel remains a page at Seagard[4] after his rumor father has besieged the castle,[5] and imprisoned Lord Jason Mallister and his son, Patrek, in their own castle.[6]
