Ygon Oldfather is a wildling clan chief. He commands a following composed mostly of his own sons and grandsons. He has eighteen wives, half of whom were stolen on raids.[1]

Ygon Oldfarther is among the wildling leaders who accompany Tormund Giantsbane to the Wall in declaring a truce with the Night's Watch. He is present in the Shieldhall when Jon Snow announces the letter purportedly from Ramsay Bolton entitled 'Bastard'.[1]
