Ulf, known as Ulf son of Umar after his father, is a member of the Moon Brothers, one of the Vale mountain clans found in the Mountains of the Moon.

A Game of Thrones
Ulf is the leader of the Moon Brothers who accompany Tyrion Lannister to his father Tywin Lannister's encampment on the promise of weapons and armor.[1] Lord Leo Lefford is displeased when Tyrion requests arms and armor from him for Ulf's men.[1]
Ulf demands blood money when three Stone Crows kill a Moon Brother, but Conn and Shagga refuse to pay.[2]
Ulf is slain during the battle on the Green Fork. After the battle, Tyrion finds Ulf with his arm gone at the elbow and a dozen Moon Brothers dead around him.[2]
