A Dance with Dragons
Grazdan tells Daenerys Targaryen that when Elza was getting old he purchased half a dozen young girls and commanded Elza to instruct them in the secrets of her craft. Elza was dead now and the young ones, freed, opened a shop by the harbor wall to sell their weavings. Gazdan demands a portion of their earnings. Grazdan doesn't remember whether the old slave was named Elza or Ella. Daenerys denies the petition saying that it was Elza who taught the girls, not him. And commands Grazdan to buy the girls a new loom for forgeting the old slave's name.
